Fall Break

Reported by Mario Greymist.

It’s fall break from school for the rest of this week. The editor will be going to a coffee shop with her daddy one day, to the zoo with mommy another day, as well and finishing up her halloween costume and working on her science fair project.

She got an award for September, the Panther of the Month for Responsibility.

We cats have also been responsible, by helping mommy with her homework and napping.

Halloween brings a trick or treat party for Brendan’s birthday, and a class party at school.

November 5th the editor will take her taekwondo exam. The weekend after that will be her own birthday party!

Stay tuned.

Construction!

They tore up the end of my driveway like 2 months ago!!!!! It was terrible, we couldn’t even park at our house sometimes!!!!! Then finally they finished that part, and then they repaved our street! It’s pretty cool now, I can ride my bike really well on that smooth new road. And the place where mama fell and split her elbow open is LONG GONE now.

Here’s what it looked like after they ripped up the end of our driveway.

Snow Boot!

Here is a paragraph I had to write for school about being a snow boot.

Man, it’s hot in this box! I guess sometimes being a long, black, fuzzy snow boot has its downsides. I’m just sitting here and all of a sudden my sister kicks me. “Hey!” I yell. “What was that for?” “Shh,” she said. “Do you feel that?” We sit there for a minute, then all of a sudden the box started shaking like crazy. “Ahh!!” we scream. Then about 30 minutes later the box lid opens and some girl puts us on her feet. Now you would think it would smell really bad but it usually doesn’t smell at all! A little while later the girl climbed up a bunch of stairs. “Finally!” I said. “It feels like we have been walking forever!”Then we heard someone say that we were taking off and we would be in Colorado in 1 hour. “What does that mean?” I asked. “I don’t know,” my sister said. An hour later they had to be in Colorado by now. “Thank goodness that nightmare is over!” Jessica said. Now we are in some kind of house, and the girl took us off. “Good night,” said Jessica. I was already asleep.

The next day was terrifying. We got up super early. And when we went outside it was freezing. I got a lot of snow in me! It got really scary when the girl decided to go snowboarding. It was bad because none of us are good at snowboarding. We were just fine though, until the girl, whose name is Melody, tried to do some kind of flip. Jessica and I ended up 5 feet in the snow. Later, Melody had hot chocolate and spilled it on me! When we went mountain climbing, I thought I was going to fall apart. Lastly, we went ice fishing. For some reason Melody stepped on the thin ice and we fell in freezing water. It was funny though when Jessica caught a fish. Now I am still so freezing! I wish I was a flip flop.

The Race!

On Saturday my mama ran a race at her college! It was really fun. I liked cheering her on. I sort of wished I was running too.

They did zumba before the race to warm up! I went and joined the group. It was soooooo fun!

That’s me in the striped shirt in the back row!

I also got my face painted!

It was a very fun morning. Maybe next time I will be running too.

The Fair!

I got to go to the state fair last weekend with my cousin Natalie! Grandma and Papa took us! It was so fun. We rode lots of rides! Grandma thought we were lost when we rode the Ferris wheel because they leave you on it for a long time. So Papa got the police. When we came off the ride, the police told us to be good and not run away. But we were never actually lost. HAHAHA!

I got to eat funnel cakes! And Natalie and I got our faces painted! Here’s the picture Papa took of us.

Afterwards we hung out at Uncle Todd’s house and I spent the night. It was such a blast!
