Irresistible Bliss

Subtitle this one “Scared but going for it.”

Josie started up this Bikini Body Challenge. It’s not necessarily about wearing a bikini (thank goodness), but about transforming your body. Since I’d already decided to work on that myself, I figured I’d see how well I take to a challenge. I usually do better with encouragement than double dog dares, but I’m willing to experiment. To my delight, it’s not a contest to see who can lose the most pounds. I want to build muscle and I never lose much for pounds when doing that. This is all about transforming your body.

Oh, and I have until July 1st. Good. I’m going to need at least that long. Longer probably, but it’ll give me reason to focus with a deadline.

I believe there’s some sort of prize involving Josie paying my bills for a year, or something like that. I’m not really concerned with winning, just with getting near the finish line.  If you see me using the #bikinibody hashtag on Twitter, you’ll know what I’m rattling on about, yes? Ok. On to the hard part.

I consider this the first part of the challenge and I think it sucks, but Josie needs a current starting picture. I snapped this last week, then toyed with the idea of trying to look nice and making my husband snap a better picture, and then I didn’t. And this week I’m feeling skinnier so it’s too late, I’m already seeing some results. So now I’m stuck with it. I guess it’ll just make the after picture look even more amazing?

I’m going to have to blog a lot this week to get that off the front page quickly. I truly hate before pictures, but I plan to work hard so it can really be a thing of the past. And now I’d better go do a million crunches or something…
